Atmosphere of the room

The dining room, newly renovated in traditional and rustic style with a stunning wood ceiling from the forests of Chapelle des Bois add a certain charm and a new underfloor heating ensures a warm cosy ambiance for up to 50 people.
Its walls made of a mixture of lime and straw add an authentic traditions appearance. Another stone wall with a built-in period armoire complete the picture.
The bread oven, which has existed for several centuries, was used to make bread from villagers and still works to this day.
Finally, direct access to the old vaulted stone wine cellar, uncovered in the summer of 2018 allows us to keep our fine wines in ideal conditions.
Respect for our surroundings and the desire to live in a healthy environment have been a determining factor in the choice of our renovation materials, wherever possible we have used natural materials such as wood fibre insulation, eco friendly wood treatments and replacing the UPVC windows with wood frames.

Type of cuisine

Chef patron James offers a range of seasonal and regional dishes with his own unique twist using the freshest local produce such as Ballotine of Bresse chicken stuffed with cep mousse, seared fillet of trout with Jura wine or perhaps a traditional fondue comtoise… And no menu would be complete without a "croute aux morilles”, succulent morels mushrooms in a rich sauce of double cream and Jura’s famous "vin jaune” - Yellow Wine.

To favor taste and keep our desire to offer quality cuisine while respecting the environment, everything is homemade and the dishes are mainly prepared with fresh and local products.
